1. PURPOSE OF THIS VOICE UPLOAD CONSENT
This Voice Upload Consent explains what a user agrees to when they record, upload, submit, test, process, personalise, sell, download, export, or use a voice through Lay Your Layer.
This consent applies to voice recordings, microphone recordings, spoken phrases, voice samples, voice packs, voice profiles, AI voice tools, voice Store products, voice creator listings, voice downloads, voice exports, voice verification, voice liveness, and any other voice-related feature.
This page should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, AI Safety Notice, Consent and Data Use Policy, Voice Terms, Voice Creator Terms, Store Terms, Export Licence Terms, Upload Policy, User Content Licence, Stop Loss Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Payment and Subscription Terms, and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
2. IMPORTANT SUMMARY
A voice can identify a person.
Voice recordings may be sensitive.
Voice recordings must not be uploaded, cloned, sold, exported, published, or used without the required rights and consent.
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate a microphone secretly.
Microphone use must be clear and permission-based.
The user must only upload their own voice or a voice they have legal permission to use.
Voice products, voice downloads, voice exports, and voice digital services are non-refundable once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, except where the law requires otherwise.
3. USER CONFIRMATION
By uploading, recording, submitting, testing, selling, exporting, downloading, or using a voice, the user confirms:
I understand this Voice Upload Consent.
I understand voice data may identify a person.
I understand voice data may be sensitive.
I confirm this is my voice, or I have the required legal permission to upload and use this voice.
I confirm I am not uploading a stolen, secretly recorded, copied, unauthorised, fake-consent, or unlawful voice.
I confirm I will not use voice tools for fraud, impersonation, scams, harassment, abuse, exploitation, non-consensual content, child exploitation, fake evidence, or unlawful activity.
I agree to continue.
4. MICROPHONE CONSENT
Lay Your Layer may request microphone access for the selected voice feature.
Microphone access may be used for:
Recording a voice
Uploading a voice sample
Creating a voice profile
Testing voice quality
Creating a voice pack
Checking spoken consent
Checking spoken payment authority
Checking creator authority
Checking liveness
Checking voice ownership
Checking age or guardian permission
Testing speech-to-text
Testing text-to-speech
Supporting voice commands
Supporting AI conversation
Supporting voice export
Supporting voice Store products
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate the microphone secretly.

5. VOICE RECORDING CONSENT
Before recording, the user agrees:
I agree for Lay Your Layer to record my voice for the selected voice feature.
I agree for Lay Your Layer to process, store, test, review, personalise, and use the recording for the selected voice feature.
I understand that if I choose to create a Voice Store product, my voice may be previewed, listed, sold, licensed, delivered, downloaded, or exported according to the Voice Terms and Store Terms.
I understand that if I choose private voice use only, Lay Your Layer should not list my voice in the Store unless I later agree.
I understand I can contact Lay Your Layer about voice data rights at help@layyourlayer.com.

6. VOICE UPLOAD CONSENT
Before uploading a voice file, the user agrees:
I confirm this is my voice, or I have the required written permission to upload, process, store, test, use, and where selected, sell, license, download, or export this voice.
I confirm the recording was not obtained secretly, unlawfully, deceptively, or without required permission.
I confirm the voice is not stolen.
I confirm the voice is not copied from another person without permission.
I confirm the voice is not taken from a public figure, celebrity, influencer, actor, singer, voice actor, private person, child, family member, partner, employee, customer, or third party without required permission.
I agree for Lay Your Layer to process the voice for the selected voice feature.

7. OWN VOICE ONLY RULE
Users should only upload their own voice unless they have the required permission.
If the voice belongs to another person, the user must have written permission where required.
The user must be able to prove permission if Lay Your Layer asks.
Lay Your Layer may block, remove, restrict, delete, suspend, or investigate any voice where permission is unclear.
8. OTHER PEOPLE’S VOICES
Users must not upload, record, clone, sell, export, publish, or use another person’s voice without the required rights and consent.
This includes voices belonging to:
Family members
Friends
Children
Parents
Guardians
Partners
Employees
Customers
Clients
Celebrities
Influencers
Actors
Singers
Voice actors
Public figures
Private people
Deceased people where rights still apply
Any person who has not given required permission
9. CHILD VOICES
Users must not upload, clone, sell, export, publish, or use a child’s voice unless Lay Your Layer clearly allows it and the required parent or legal guardian consent has been obtained.
Child voices must never be used for:
Sexual content
Romantic content
Grooming
Manipulation
Exploitation
Bullying
Harassment
Fake evidence
Scams
Adult products
Unsafe roleplay
Identity misuse
Commercial misuse without lawful permission
Any unlawful or unsafe purpose
Lay Your Layer may block, remove, restrict, or report child-safety concerns where appropriate.
10. VOICE STORE CONSENT
If the user chooses to list a voice in the Lay Your Layer Store, the user agrees:
I want to create a Voice Store product.
I confirm I own or have the required rights to this voice.
I give Lay Your Layer permission to host, store, review, test, display, preview, market, process, sell, license, deliver, support, remove, restrict, and manage this voice product according to the Voice Terms, Store Terms, Creator Terms, Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
I understand buyers may receive only the licence stated in the Store listing.
I understand Lay Your Layer may remove or restrict the voice product if consent, rights, payment, safety, Store, fraud, legal, or policy issues arise.

11. PRIVATE VOICE CONSENT
If the user chooses private voice use only, the user agrees:
I want this voice to be used for my own private Lay Your Layer voice feature only.
I do not want this voice listed in the Store unless I later agree.
I understand Lay Your Layer may still process, store, test, and use the voice as needed to provide the selected private voice feature.
I understand Lay Your Layer may keep certain records where needed for legal, payment, fraud-prevention, consent, safety, security, audit, or dispute reasons.

12. VOICE EXPORT CONSENT
If the user requests voice export, the user agrees:
I request immediate supply of the selected voice export, voice download, voice pack, voice file, voice code, or voice product.
I understand that the voice export may be supplied, downloaded, accessed, copied, packaged, or used immediately.
I understand that once the voice export is supplied, downloaded, accessed, copied, packaged, or used, the charge is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
I understand that voice export is subject to licence limits.
I understand that I must not use the voice export for fraud, impersonation, scams, harassment, abuse, exploitation, non-consensual content, child exploitation, fake evidence, or unlawful activity.

13. VOICE BUYER CONSENT
If a user buys a Voice Store product, the buyer agrees:
I request immediate access to the selected Voice Store product.
I understand this is a digital voice product.
I understand that the voice product may be supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used immediately.
I understand that buying this voice product gives me only the licence stated in the listing.
I understand that I must not use this voice for fraud, impersonation, scams, harassment, abuse, non-consensual content, child exploitation, fake evidence, or unlawful activity.
I understand that once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, the purchase is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

14. SPOKEN CONSENT PHRASE
Lay Your Layer may require a spoken consent phrase before voice upload, voice sale, voice export, creator listing, or high-risk voice use.
Example phrase:
“I am [name]. This is my voice. I give Lay Your Layer permission to record, process, store, test, and use my voice for the selected voice feature. I understand whether I am creating a private voice, Store voice, exportable voice, or paid voice product.”
Lay Your Layer may store the spoken consent phrase where reasonably needed for consent evidence, fraud prevention, rights protection, Store protection, creator protection, payment disputes, legal claims, safety, security, audit, or compliance.
15. BIOMETRIC VOICE CONSENT
Voice recordings are personal data where they identify or relate to a person.
If Lay Your Layer uses voice recognition, voiceprints, biometric matching, biometric verification, or similar technology to uniquely identify or verify a person, the user may need to give explicit consent or another valid lawful basis and special-category condition may need to apply.
Where explicit consent is required, the user agrees:
I understand that my voice may be used as biometric data to uniquely identify or verify me for the selected feature.
I give explicit consent for Lay Your Layer to process my voice for that selected biometric identification or verification purpose.
I understand I may withdraw consent where the law allows, but withdrawal may stop the related voice, verification, Store, export, payout, or security feature from working.
I understand withdrawal does not automatically affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

16. WITHDRAWING VOICE CONSENT
The user may contact Lay Your Layer to ask about withdrawing voice consent by emailing:

Withdrawal may affect the ability to use:
Voice recording
Voice upload
Voice profile
Voice pack
Voice Store listing
Voice creator product
Voice buyer access
Voice export
Voice download
Voice verification
Voice liveness
Voice commands
Voice AI tools
Withdrawal does not automatically create a refund right.
Withdrawal does not automatically remove records Lay Your Layer must keep for legal, fraud-prevention, payment, chargeback, safety, security, Store, creator, audit, tax, accounting, or dispute reasons.
17. VOICE DELETION REQUESTS
The user may request deletion of voice data by contacting:

Lay Your Layer will handle deletion requests according to the Privacy Policy, Data Retention Policy, Data Deletion Policy, Voice Terms, and applicable law.
Deletion may be limited where Lay Your Layer needs to keep certain records for:
Legal claims
Fraud prevention
Payment disputes
Chargebacks
Consent evidence
Creator payout records
Store records
Safety investigations
Child-safety reports
Rights disputes
Accounting
Tax
Compliance
Security
Audit
18. WHAT LAY YOUR LAYER MAY DO WITH UPLOADED VOICE
Lay Your Layer may use uploaded voice for the selected voice feature.
This may include:
Receiving the upload
Storing the file
Processing the file
Testing audio quality
Cleaning or preparing audio
Creating a voice profile
Creating a voice pack
Generating speech
Supporting speech-to-text
Supporting text-to-speech
Supporting voice commands
Delivering private voice use
Delivering Store voice products
Delivering buyer voice products
Delivering voice downloads
Delivering voice exports
Displaying previews where Store listing is selected
Checking rights and consent
Checking safety
Checking fraud risk
Handling disputes
Protecting creators
Protecting buyers
Complying with legal duties
19. WHAT LAY YOUR LAYER MUST NOT DO WITHOUT SEPARATE CONSENT
Lay Your Layer should not use uploaded voice for unrelated purposes without a valid legal basis.
Lay Your Layer should not:
Secretly record the user
Secretly clone the user’s voice
Secretly list the voice in the Store
Secretly sell the voice
Use private voice uploads for unrelated marketing
Sell raw voice personal data
Use private voice uploads for general AI training without separate clear agreement where required
Claim the user gave Store sale permission when only private use was selected
Ignore lawful deletion requests where deletion is required
20. VOICE TRAINING AND IMPROVEMENT
Lay Your Layer may use voice data to provide, personalise, test, improve, and operate the selected voice feature where lawful and explained.
If Lay Your Layer wants to use voice uploads for wider system training, general AI training, public model training, Store improvement beyond the selected feature, or unrelated product development, Lay Your Layer should obtain separate clear consent or rely on another valid lawful basis where lawful.
Users should not upload voices unless they agree to the use shown for the selected voice feature.
21. VOICE QUALITY CHECK
Lay Your Layer may test voice quality.
Voice quality checks may review:
Background noise
Clarity
Volume
Distortion
Pronunciation
Accent handling
Language
Recording length
Missing samples
Unsafe content
Rights risk
Consent risk
Technical suitability
Lay Your Layer may reject, pause, or ask for a new recording if the voice quality is not suitable.
22. NO GUARANTEE OF PERFECT VOICE
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee that voice output will sound perfect.
Voice quality may depend on:
Microphone quality
Device quality
Room noise
Internet connection
Accent
Language
Speech clarity
Recording length
AI model limits
Browser limits
Training material
Audio format
User settings
Third-party tools
A voice not sounding exactly as expected does not automatically create a refund right.
23. VOICE MISUSE BAN
Users must not use uploaded voices for:
Fraud
Scams
Impersonation
Identity misuse
Fake evidence
Fake consent
Fake payment authority
Fake legal statements
Fake customer service calls
Fake bank calls
Harassment
Threats
Blackmail
Abuse
Bullying
Doxing
Non-consensual sexual content
Child exploitation
Grooming
Hate
Extremism
Terrorism
Violence
Political deception
Medical deception
Legal deception
Financial deception
Deepfake abuse
Misleading public statements
Unauthorised commercial use
Unlawful activity
24. FAKE CONSENT BAN
Users must not create fake voice consent.
Users must not upload a recording of someone else saying consent words unless that person genuinely gave permission.
Users must not use AI to fake a consent phrase.
Users must not edit, splice, deepfake, mimic, or manipulate a consent recording.
Users must not pretend another person has agreed to voice use.
Fake consent may lead to removal, suspension, termination, payout hold, export block, fraud report, legal action, or recovery action where lawful.
25. VOICE RIGHTS REVIEW
Lay Your Layer may review uploaded voices for rights issues.
Rights concerns may include:
No consent
Fake consent
Stolen recordings
Secret recordings
Unauthorised voice clone
Celebrity voice misuse
Employee voice misuse
Customer voice misuse
Child voice misuse
Disputed ownership
Copyright issues
Performer rights issues
Contract restrictions
Confidential recordings
Misleading listings
Lay Your Layer may block, remove, restrict, or investigate voice uploads where rights are unclear.
26. VOICE SAFETY REVIEW
Lay Your Layer may review uploaded voices for safety issues.
Safety concerns may include:
Fraud
Impersonation
Scams
Harassment
Abuse
Child exploitation
Non-consensual content
Hate
Extremism
Terrorism
Violence
Identity misuse
Rights infringement
Deepfake misuse
Misleading public use
Payment misuse
Store abuse
Lay Your Layer may block, remove, restrict, or investigate voice uploads where safety concerns exist.
27. VOICE RECORDS LAY YOUR LAYER MAY KEEP
Lay Your Layer may keep voice-related records where reasonably needed.
Records may include:
Voice upload consent
Microphone consent
Voice recording consent
Explicit biometric consent where required
Spoken consent phrase
Voice file
Voice sample
Voice profile
Voice pack
Voice product listing
Voice licence
Creator information
Buyer information
Order number
Payment reference
Export record
Download record
Store listing record
Consent date and time
IP address
Device information
Session ID
Support messages
Rights review notes
Safety review notes
Fraud review notes
Verification outcome
28. VOICE RECORD RETENTION
Lay Your Layer may keep voice records for as long as reasonably needed for:
Providing the selected voice feature
Voice Store delivery
Voice buyer access
Voice creator management
Voice export
Voice download
Fraud prevention
Payment disputes
Chargebacks
Consent evidence
Rights disputes
Safety investigations
Child-safety reports
Legal claims
Accounting
Tax
Compliance
Security
Audit
Where voice records are no longer reasonably needed, Lay Your Layer should delete, minimise, restrict, anonymise, or archive them where appropriate.
29. VOICE EXPORT AND DOWNLOAD NO-REFUND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Before a voice download or export, the user agrees:
I request immediate supply of the selected voice download, voice export, voice pack, voice file, voice code, voice product, or voice digital service.
I understand that once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, the charge is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
I understand this does not remove legal rights that cannot be removed.

30. PAYMENT AND CHARGEBACK RISK
If a voice-related payment is disputed, reversed, charged back, refunded by a payment provider, reported as unauthorised, or suspected of fraud, Lay Your Layer may:
Suspend voice access
Freeze the account
Remove voice products
Remove downloads
Block exports
Pause creator payouts
Preserve evidence
Respond to the payment provider
Report suspected fraud where lawful
Seek recovery from the responsible person where lawful
31. CREATOR PAYOUT HOLDS
If a voice is sold through the Store, creator payouts may be delayed, held, reversed, offset, or blocked where there is payment risk, fraud risk, Store risk, rights risk, consent risk, child-safety risk, chargeback risk, or legal risk.
Lay Your Layer may recover or offset payouts where a voice sale is later reversed, disputed, refunded, or found to break the rules.

33. FINAL VOICE UPLOAD STATEMENT
The user must not upload a voice unless they understand and agree to this Voice Upload Consent.
The user must not upload a voice unless it is their own voice or they have the required permission.
The user must not use Lay Your Layer voice tools to deceive, impersonate, defraud, exploit, harass, abuse, or harm anyone.
Lay Your Layer may refuse, remove, restrict, suspend, or block voice use where consent, rights, payment, safety, Store, export, legal, or policy concerns exist.
34. CHANGES TO THIS VOICE UPLOAD CONSENT
Lay Your Layer may update this Voice Upload Consent as the voice system changes.
Updates may happen because of:
New voice tools
New AI voice models
New microphone features
New Store features
New creator tools
New export tools
New payment risks
New safety risks
New biometric rules
New laws
Legal review
Technical changes
Business changes
The updated date at the top of this page should show when it was last changed.
