Lay Your Layer may block, refuse, delete, restrict, or warn against unsafe sharing.
7. AI CHAT DATA
When a user sends a message to an AI feature, the message may be processed to generate a reply.
Depending on the feature and settings, Lay Your Layer may process:
- the prompt;
- the AI reply;
- session ID;
- time of request;
- safety category;
- error status;
- technical logs;
- short summaries;
- memory records where consent is given.
Public AI areas should avoid storing full prompts and replies unless there is clear consent or a lawful reason.
Private, account-based, training, creator, admin, or paid tools may have different storage rules, which should be explained in the relevant feature terms.
8. MEMORY AND PERSONALISATION CONSENT
Lay Your Layer may offer memory and personalisation.

- what the user wants help with;

Memory should only be used where the feature allows it and where the required consent or lawful basis exists.
Where memory consent is optional, the user should be able to use the service without optional memory, although some personalised features may not work as well.
9. TRAINING AND LAYER IMPROVEMENT
Lay Your Layer may allow users to train or improve a personal layer.
Training may involve using:
- prompts;
- replies;
- corrections;

- approved files;
- approved voice recordings;
- approved images;
- approved documents;
- feedback;
- ratings;

Marketing may include:
- emails;
- texts;
- calls;
- promotional messages;
- product updates;
- Store updates;
- creator opportunities;
- offers;
- launch updates;
- feature announcements;
- messages from Lay Your Layer-linked companies where clearly explained.
Marketing consent should be clear.
Users should be able to withdraw marketing consent.
Withdrawing marketing consent should stop optional marketing, although Lay Your Layer may still send essential service messages such as account, payment, safety, security, legal, or subscription messages where allowed.
12. FREE-USE PROMOTIONAL CONSENT
Lay Your Layer may offer free use of certain features where the user creates an account and agrees to promotional contact terms.
Where this applies, the user should be told clearly:
- what free use includes;
- what promotional contact is requested;
- whether calls are included;
- whether texts are included;
- whether emails are included;
- whether Lay Your Layer-linked companies are included;
- how consent can be withdrawn;
- what happens if consent is withdrawn;
- whether the user must pay to continue after withdrawal;
- whether access may stop if consent is removed.
If free use depends on promotional consent, Lay Your Layer may stop free access when that consent is withdrawn, unless another access route applies.
If free access stops, the user may be asked to choose between:
- paying for continued access; or
- giving the required consent back where legally allowed; or
- using only features that do not require that consent.

Lay Your Layer may require age checks, identity checks, guardian approval, or extra consent before voice features are used.
17. UPLOAD DATA
Users may be able to upload files, images, documents, audio, video, code, designs, or other content.
By uploading content, the user confirms that:

- the content does not contain secrets that should not be shared;
- the content does not contain child exploitation material;

Lay Your Layer may remove, block, restrict, or review uploads where safety, legal, rights, or abuse concerns exist.
18. CHILDREN AND GUARDIAN CONSENT
Some Lay Your Layer features may not be suitable for children.
Where a feature requires a user to be 18 or over, the user must not use that feature if they are under 18.
Where guardian consent is required, the guardian must have legal authority to give consent.
Lay Your Layer may restrict:
- voice uploads;
- creator selling;
- Store selling;
- payments;
- exports;
- identity-related tools;
- AI training features;

20. WITHDRAWING CONSENT
Users may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for a data use.
To withdraw consent, users may use available account settings or contact:
help@layyourlayer.com
The user should explain what consent they want to withdraw.

- withdraw marketing call consent;
- withdraw promotional free-use consent;
- withdraw memory consent;
- withdraw training consent;
- withdraw voice listing consent;
- withdraw Store listing consent;
- withdraw upload processing consent where possible.
Withdrawal may not affect processing that happened before withdrawal.
Withdrawal may not require Lay Your Layer to delete data that must be kept for legal, payment, tax, safety, dispute, chargeback, fraud prevention, or audit reasons.
21. WHAT MAY HAPPEN AFTER CONSENT IS WITHDRAWN
If consent is withdrawn, Lay Your Layer may:
- stop optional processing;

- chargebacks;
- fraud prevention;
- safety investigations;

- whether they want memory removed;
- whether they want training stopped;
- whether they want Store or creator content removed;
- whether they want an upload removed;

24. AI MEMORY AFTER WITHDRAWAL
If a user withdraws memory consent, Lay Your Layer should stop using optional memory for that user where technically possible.
Depending on the system, this may include:
- deleting saved memory;
- disabling memory use;
- stopping future memory storage;
- stopping preference reuse;
- stopping training on that user’s layer;
- marking the session as no-memory;
- keeping a minimal withdrawal audit record.
AI systems may not always be able to remove information from already-generated outputs, backups, logs, or third-party systems immediately.
25. TRAINING AFTER WITHDRAWAL
If a user withdraws training consent, Lay Your Layer should stop using the relevant data for future training where technically possible.
Withdrawal may not always remove data from:
- already trained systems;
- previous model versions;
- archived logs;
- backups;
- safety records;
- legal records;
- already exported user files;
- Store purchases already completed;
- records needed for disputes or enforcement.
Lay Your Layer should explain what can and cannot be removed where relevant.

Where a third-party service is used, user data may be processed according to that service’s rules as well as Lay Your Layer’s policies.
27. INTERNATIONAL DATA USE
Some services used by Lay Your Layer may process data outside the United Kingdom.
Where this happens, Lay Your Layer should aim to use appropriate safeguards where required.

- legal obligation;
- vital interests where serious safety risk is involved;

- security;
- safety;
- legal updates;
- policy updates;

These are different from optional marketing communications.
Withdrawing marketing consent may not stop essential service communications.
32. CONSENT FOR LAY YOUR LAYER-LINKED COMPANIES
If Lay Your Layer asks for consent to receive promotional communications from Lay Your Layer-linked companies, the user should be told clearly.
This should include:
- whether linked companies may contact the user;

- whether calls are included;
- whether texts are included;

39. EXAMPLE CONSENT WORDING FOR VOICE
Example wording:

- unlawful surveillance;
- stolen content;
- identity misuse;
- voice misuse;

- account records;
- payment records;
- freeze records;
- consent records;

- safety records;
- legal records;
- Store records;
- export records.
If training is allowed during a freeze, the terms of that training should be made clear.
43. CONSENT AND EXPORT
Before exporting a layer, UI, voice pack, Store item, or other content, the user may need to confirm:
- they have the right to export it;
- they have paid the required amount;
- they understand what export means;

- it does not misuse someone’s voice, image, name, likeness, or identity;
- it does not contain harmful, exploitative, or abusive content;
- it does not break Lay Your Layer policies.
45. CONSENT AND PRICING
Consent is separate from payment.
Paying for Lay Your Layer does not automatically mean the user has consented to every optional use of their data.
However, some processing may be required to provide paid features.
For example, Lay Your Layer may need payment status data to provide:
- AI Core;
- Coding Layer;
- Voice system;
- Store access;
- export eligibility;
- creator access;
- fallback pricing;
- freezes;
- restarts;
- cancellations;
- refunds.
46. CONSENT AND REFUNDS
Withdrawing consent does not automatically create a refund right.
Refunds are handled under the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any applicable law.
However, if a feature cannot be provided without consent and the user withdraws consent, the user may lose access to that feature.
47. CONTACT FOR CONSENT QUESTIONS
For consent questions, withdrawal requests, data use questions, or deletion requests, contact:
