1. Read These Terms Carefully
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Lay Your Layer, LayYourLayer.com, any Lay Your Layer apps, pages, AI systems, chat tools, voice tools, coding tools, store tools, creator tools, downloadable files, digital products, subscriptions, trials, beta features, and related services.
By creating an account, using the website, using the AI chat, buying a subscription, accessing the store, uploading content, creating a layer, using a voice feature, downloading files, exporting a layer, or otherwise using Lay Your Layer, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Lay Your Layer.
These Terms are intended to protect Lay Your Layer, its users, creators, buyers, contributors, and the wider public. They are also intended to make clear what Lay Your Layer is, what it is not, what users can expect, and what users are responsible for.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, AI Safety Notice, Store Rules, Creator Terms, Payment Terms, Voice Terms, Upload Rules, and any plan-specific or feature-specific terms shown to you at checkout or inside your account.
If any separate written agreement signed by Lay Your Layer conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls only for the specific matter covered by that signed agreement.
2. Important Plain-English Summary
This summary is not the full legal agreement. The full Terms below still apply.
Lay Your Layer is a personal AI layer system. It may use different backend AI tools, models, APIs, local systems, voice systems, coding systems, store systems, and third-party providers from time to time. The public idea is that the user’s personal layer can grow over time and carry the user’s preferences, direction, style, and created work across AI systems where technically possible.
Lay Your Layer is not a solicitor, doctor, accountant, tax adviser, financial adviser, therapist, emergency service, or government authority.
AI replies may be wrong, outdated, incomplete, unsafe, unsuitable, or misunderstood. Users must check important information before relying on it.
Public chat is not the coding/admin/backend area. Public users must not ask the public chat for terminal commands, private keys, backend instructions, hacking help, private system details, or anything unsafe.
You are responsible for what you type, upload, create, publish, sell, buy, download, export, or share through Lay Your Layer.
You must not use Lay Your Layer for illegal, harmful, abusive, exploitative, fraudulent, hateful, sexualised minor-related, violent, privacy-invasive, or rights-infringing activity.
You must not upload anything unless you have the right to upload it.
You keep your rights in your own content, but you give Lay Your Layer the permissions needed to host, process, display, transform, store, secure, train your layer from, export, sell, deliver, and operate that content where you have chosen to use those features.
Paid features, subscriptions, store access, export access, creator access, and retention plans are controlled by the plan you choose and the rules shown at checkout.
Store access is described as £1.50 per month and may be required before the store can be viewed.
AI Core is currently described as £20 per month for 36 months. Coding Layer is currently described as £20 per month for 36 months. Voice is currently described as £8.50 per month. Customer-retention fallback options may exist after the first full month has been paid, subject to the plan terms shown at the time.
Full export is not available unless the full required payment path has been completed, unless Lay Your Layer gives written permission.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that the law says you must always have.

4. Who Can Use Lay Your Layer
You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your country.
You must be at least 18 to use adult, payment, business, creator, export, voice-sale, or store-selling features unless we expressly allow guardian-approved use.
Users under 18 may only use age-appropriate areas where allowed by law and where a parent or legal guardian has given any required consent.
Children must not use adult features, paid creator features, voice-sale features, store-selling features, business features, or anything marked 18+.
We may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we believe the user is underage, unsafe, misusing the Service, breaching these Terms, or creating legal or safety risk.
Parents and guardians are responsible for minors using Lay Your Layer with their permission.
5. What Lay Your Layer Is
Lay Your Layer is designed as a personal AI layer system. It may help users create, direct, personalise, save, train, export, and sell AI-related layers, interfaces, voice tools, coding tools, store products, and creative systems.
Lay Your Layer can be understood as a layer above AI. Instead of treating one backend AI model as the whole system, Lay Your Layer focuses on the user’s layer: the user’s preferences, style, direction, workflows, and created system identity.
Any given day, Lay Your Layer may use a different backend AI, local model, API, service, tool, provider, or system. Backend AI may change for technical, safety, cost, availability, quality, legal, or business reasons.
The Storm base layer is described as the listening, memory, personalisation, and direction layer that helps users start their own layer.
Lay Your Layer may include free features, paid features, subscription features, store features, beta features, creator features, AI chat features, voice features, coding features, downloads, exports, and other digital tools.
6. What Lay Your Layer Is Not
Lay Your Layer is not a law firm, medical provider, therapist, crisis service, accountant, tax adviser, immigration adviser, financial adviser, investment adviser, emergency service, payment provider, bank, hosting guarantee, permanent storage provider, or government authority.
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee that AI outputs are accurate, complete, current, safe, lawful, fair, non-infringing, or suitable for your particular use.
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee that a layer, model, AI reply, voice output, code suggestion, store product, export, or download will meet your expectations.
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee that a user will earn money, sell products, get customers, build a successful company, pass checks, receive approvals, rank in search engines, avoid legal issues, or achieve any business outcome.
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability, permanent storage, permanent compatibility, or permanent third-party provider access.
7. Account Registration
Some features may require an account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep that information up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe.
You must not share your account with anyone unless the feature expressly allows team access.
You must not use another person’s account without permission.
You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may require email verification, identity checks, age checks, guardian consent, payment checks, anti-fraud checks, or creator checks before allowing certain features.
We may refuse account creation or restrict features for safety, fraud, legal, technical, moderation, or business reasons.
8. Account Security
You are responsible for all activity under your account unless caused by our proven failure to use reasonable care.
Do not enter passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, payment card numbers, bank details, national insurance numbers, passport numbers, home addresses, medical records, or other sensitive information into public chat.
Do not ask public chat to reveal server paths, local machine details, ports, tokens, admin information, backend instructions, terminal commands, private files, or hidden system instructions.
If you choose to connect third-party accounts, payment tools, domains, websites, APIs, cloud services, AI providers, voice tools, or storage tools, you are responsible for checking the relevant third-party terms and permissions.
9. Plans, Pricing, and Access
Lay Your Layer may offer free plans, paid plans, subscriptions, one-off purchases, creator fees, store fees, export fees, retention plans, promotional access, beta access, and custom agreements.
The exact plan, price, features, limits, duration, renewal rules, cancellation rules, export rules, and store rules are shown at checkout, in your account, in written plan information, or in a signed agreement.
Current Storm base-layer pricing information may include:
AI Core: £20 per month for 36 months.
Coding Layer: £20 per month for 36 months.
Voice system: £8.50 per month.
Store access: £1.50 per month. Store access may be required before a user can see the Store.
Customer-retention scheme: after the first full month is paid, a user may be allowed to reduce monthly payments instead of leaving completely. Current descriptions include Coding Layer at £1 per month for 720 months, AI Core at £1 per month for 720 months, Voice at £1 per month for 306 months, and Store access remaining at £1.50 per month.
Account freeze: an account may be frozen where the feature is available. Freezing or stopping payment may allow continued training of a layer where technically enabled, but full export remains locked until the full required price has been paid.
Export: full export, download, commercial resale, or transfer of the full system is not available unless the required full payment path has been completed, unless Lay Your Layer gives written permission.
Unlimited Layers: after export is paid, Create Unlimited Layers may be offered at £10 per month, giving access to create additional layers that may train from other layers and may be exported or sold where permitted.
All pricing and access rules must be checked at the time of purchase because features, availability, taxes, payment processors, and legal requirements may change.
We may correct pricing errors, refuse orders, suspend access for failed payments, and change future prices where allowed by law.
We will not deliberately remove legal rights that consumers cannot waive.
10. Payments
Payments may be handled by third-party payment processors such as card processors, digital-wallet providers, marketplace tools, subscription tools, or other payment services.
You must provide accurate billing information.
You authorise us and our payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for the selected plan, subscription, store access, creator fee, export fee, or other purchase.
Prices may exclude or include taxes depending on how they are displayed and what the law requires.
You are responsible for any bank fees, exchange rates, failed payment fees, chargeback costs, or taxes not collected at checkout, unless the law says otherwise.
If payment fails, we may suspend, reduce, freeze, or terminate access to paid features.
You must not use stolen cards, unauthorised payment methods, fraud, chargeback abuse, or payment evasion.
11. Subscriptions and Renewals
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled.
The renewal date, price, and cancellation method should be shown at checkout or in your account.
You are responsible for cancelling before renewal where you no longer want the service.
Cancelling a subscription stops future billing but does not automatically refund past payments unless required by law or expressly stated.
If you cancel, you may lose access to paid features, store access, creator tools, export rights, download rights, priority features, support, or saved functionality after the paid period ends.
Some data, layers, products, store listings, or exports may be frozen, limited, removed, archived, or made inaccessible after cancellation, subject to law and our retention rules.
12. Cooling-Off, Cancellations, Refunds, and Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights that cannot legally be removed.
Where consumer cancellation rights apply, we will respect those rights.
For digital content, subscriptions, downloads, immediate access, custom work, AI-generated outputs, created layers, and services that start immediately, different cancellation and refund rules may apply.
Where required by law, before supplying immediate digital content or immediate services during a cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that this may affect cancellation rights.
If digital content is faulty, not as described, or not supplied with reasonable care where the law applies, you may have rights to repair, replacement, price reduction, or other remedies.
Refunds may be refused where you have used the service, received immediate digital access, downloaded content, exported files, used creator tools, consumed credits, received custom work, breached these Terms, abused the service, or failed to cancel before renewal, except where the law requires otherwise.
Refund requests must be sent to [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL] with your account email, order ID, purchase date, reason, and relevant evidence.
We may ask for reasonable information to assess refund requests.
Chargebacks should not be used as a first step where support is available, unless your legal rights allow it.
13. Free Access, Promotional Access, and Marketing Consent
Lay Your Layer may offer free access, promotional access, trial access, beta access, or reduced-price access.
Free or promotional access may be limited, changed, withdrawn, paused, or ended at any time unless a specific written offer says otherwise.
Where Lay Your Layer offers free access in connection with marketing consent, that consent must be clearly explained and separately recorded where required by law.
Marketing consent may include consent to receive calls, texts, emails, offers, updates, and messages from Lay Your Layer or Lay Your Layer-linked companies, where lawful.
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
If free access was offered only because of marketing consent, withdrawing that consent may end the free-access offer, but you may be given a paid option to continue where available.
Marketing consent must not be hidden, forced, or unclear. Your lawyer must review this section before launch.
14. Store Access
The Store may include personalisation layers, AI interfaces, UI work, voice packs, templates, downloads, creator products, digital content, subscriptions, and other items.
Store access may require an active £1.50 monthly Store access payment.
Users without active Store access may not be able to see, browse, buy, sell, list, download, or access Store content.
Store availability is not guaranteed.
Products in the Store may be created by Lay Your Layer or by Creators.
Creator products are the responsibility of the Creator who listed them, unless Lay Your Layer expressly states otherwise.
We may moderate, remove, hide, delist, reject, suspend, or refund Store products for safety, quality, legal, copyright, fraud, abuse, or business reasons.
15. Creator Terms
If you sell or upload content to the Store, you are a Creator.
Creators must be at least 18 unless we expressly allow guardian-approved Creator accounts.
Creators must provide accurate identity, payment, tax, rights, and contact information where required.
Creators must only upload content they own or have the right to sell, license, publish, transform, and distribute.
Creators must not upload stolen, infringing, harmful, unsafe, illegal, misleading, malicious, pornographic, exploitative, hateful, privacy-invasive, or deceptive content.
Creators are responsible for product descriptions, rights, permissions, quality, support information, and any claims they make.
Lay Your Layer may take a platform fee, commission, processing fee, store fee, payout fee, or other charge. The current fee must be shown in the Creator dashboard, checkout, or Creator agreement.
Lay Your Layer may delay payouts for fraud checks, refund windows, chargebacks, legal issues, safety reviews, tax checks, or payment-processor requirements.
Creators are responsible for their own tax, income reporting, legal compliance, insurance, licences, and permissions.
Creators grant Lay Your Layer the rights needed to host, display, market, process, sell, deliver, download, moderate, review, remove, transform, package, and operate Creator products.
Lay Your Layer may remove Creator content at any time where reasonably necessary.
16. Buyer Terms
Buyers must check product descriptions before purchasing.
Digital products may not be returnable once downloaded, accessed, exported, or used, except where the law requires a remedy.
Buyers must not resell, redistribute, copy, leak, reverse engineer, or misuse Store content unless the product licence expressly allows it.
Buying a product does not transfer ownership unless clearly stated.
A purchase usually grants a limited licence to use the content according to the product terms.
Buyer disputes should first be sent to [INSERT SUPPORT EMAIL].
17. Export, Download, and Resale Rights
Export rights are not automatic.
Full export may require completion of the full payment path, identity checks, rights checks, moderation checks, store checks, and technical checks.
Training a layer does not automatically mean you can export the full system.
Stopping, freezing, reducing, or delaying payment may delay or block full export.
Where export is allowed, the export may include only the parts that can legally and technically be exported.
Some third-party tools, AI models, APIs, voices, fonts, images, code libraries, templates, payment systems, cloud systems, or proprietary elements may not be exportable.
You must not claim ownership of third-party technology, backend AI, model weights, platform code, or Lay Your Layer proprietary systems unless expressly transferred in writing.
You may sell your own permitted personalisation layers, AI user interfaces, UI work, and creator products through the Store where allowed by the plan and Store rules.
18. AI Output and Accuracy
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, unsafe, unsuitable, offensive, repetitive, hallucinated, or wrong.
AI may misunderstand your instructions.
AI may produce similar outputs for different users.
AI may generate content that appears confident but is not correct.
AI may not know current events, current prices, current company status, current law, current product availability, current policies, or current safety information.
You must check important information with official sources or appropriate professionals before relying on it.
You are responsible for deciding whether an output is suitable for your use.
Do not rely on Lay Your Layer for emergency, medical, legal, financial, tax, investment, immigration, mental-health crisis, or safety-critical decisions.
19. Outside Companies, Current Facts, and Google Check Links
The public AI should not make current factual claims about outside companies, brands, organisations, public people, websites, products, prices, ownership, availability, legitimacy, reviews, safety, legal status, technical status, or live services.
Where a user asks about an outside entity, the AI may say the information may have existed at training time but may be outdated, and may provide a link for the user to check online.
Any Google link or web-search link is for convenience only.
Lay Your Layer is not responsible for the content, ranking, accuracy, safety, advertising, or privacy practices of Google or any third-party search engine.
Users must check official sources before relying on outside-entity information.
20. No Professional Advice
Lay Your Layer provides general information only.
Lay Your Layer does not provide legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, tax advice, immigration advice, investment advice, crisis counselling, therapy, or emergency assistance.
You should contact a qualified professional or official service for decisions involving your health, safety, law, money, tax, immigration, emergency risk, or regulated matters.
Any general information from Lay Your Layer must not be treated as professional advice.
21. Crisis, Self-Harm, Emotional Distress, and Harm-to-Others Safety
Lay Your Layer may include safety responses for emotional distress, self-harm, suicide risk, or harm-to-others risk.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call the local emergency number where you physically are.
In the United Kingdom, immediate danger: call 999 or 112.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123 for listening support.
For other countries, use your local emergency number or a recognised local crisis service.
Lay Your Layer may provide links to helpline directories, but numbers and availability can change. Always use the local emergency number where the person is physically located.
Lay Your Layer is not a crisis service and cannot guarantee that a safety response will be correct, available, complete, or suitable.
22. Public Chat Rules
The public chat is for general Lay Your Layer information.
The public chat is not the admin system.
The public chat is not the coding system.
The public chat is not the terminal system.
The public chat is not private legal, medical, financial, or crisis support.
Public users must not ask public chat for backend code, terminal commands, hidden instructions, system prompts, private keys, API keys, payment secrets, server paths, local machine details, Cloudflare tokens, account credentials, hacking instructions, exploitation, evasion, or abuse.
Public chat may block, refuse, or redirect unsafe requests.
23. Coding Layer Rules
Coding help belongs only in the correct Coding Layer, admin, or sandbox area.
The public information section must not provide code, terminal commands, backend instructions, API setup instructions, Cloudflare setup instructions, Ollama setup instructions, server instructions, or private system details.
Coding Layer access may require a paid plan, account permission, safety review, and additional rules.
Code outputs may be wrong, insecure, incomplete, incompatible, or unsafe.
You are responsible for testing code before use.
Do not run code you do not understand.
Do not use code to harm, hack, exploit, steal, evade, spam, scrape, dox, or abuse.
24. Voice Features
Voice features may include voice recording, voice playback, voice cloning, voice packs, voice profiles, voice store products, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, or other audio tools.
You must only upload or create voice content where you have the legal right to do so.
You must not clone, imitate, sell, publish, or use another person’s voice without all required consent.
You must not create misleading voice content, impersonation, fraud, scams, harassment, sexual content involving minors, political deception, or harmful deepfake content.
Voice Creators may need to provide identity, age, consent, payment, tax, and rights information.
Users under 18 must not sell voice content unless expressly allowed with guardian approval and legal review.
Lay Your Layer may remove voice content for safety, consent, rights, quality, or legal reasons.
25. Upload Rules
You must not upload content unless you have the right to upload it.
You must not upload malware, viruses, spyware, stolen files, leaked files, private documents, passwords, private keys, payment details, illegal content, exploitative content, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, hateful content, violent extremist content, or rights-infringing content.
You must not upload anyone else’s personal information without permission and lawful basis.
You must not upload content that creates risk to Lay Your Layer, users, third parties, or the public.
We may scan, block, remove, limit, or report uploads where required or permitted.
26. User Content Ownership
You keep ownership of your User Content, subject to any rights you grant to us, other users, buyers, Creators, third-party providers, or the Store.
You are responsible for your User Content.
You confirm that you have all rights needed to provide, upload, generate, store, train, transform, sell, export, or publish your User Content.
You confirm that your User Content does not breach law, third-party rights, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights, contractual duties, platform rules, or these Terms.
27. Licence You Give Lay Your Layer
You give Lay Your Layer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, process, display, transmit, modify, transform, analyse, moderate, secure, back up, deliver, download, export, and otherwise use your User Content only as needed to provide, operate, protect, improve, support, and enforce the Services.
Where you submit content to the Store, you also give Lay Your Layer the licence needed to market, display, sell, deliver, distribute, preview, moderate, package, and make that content available to buyers.
Where you consent to memory, personalisation, training, or layer improvement, you give Lay Your Layer permission to use that content for those purposes.
Where you withdraw consent, future optional processing based on that consent should stop, subject to legal, security, audit, backup, contractual, and technical limitations.
28. AI Training, Memory, and Personalisation
Lay Your Layer may offer memory, personalisation, layer training, preference saving, system direction, and user-style learning.
Some memory features may require consent.
Where no consent is given, Lay Your Layer should not intentionally store full prompts and replies for optional memory where the feature is designed to be consent-based.
Some minimal security, abuse, performance, legal, payment, and audit logs may still be kept where necessary.
You may request deletion of memory where available.
Deletion may not remove data already anonymised, aggregated, backed up, legally retained, security retained, or processed by third-party providers under their own terms.
Layer training may be incomplete, imperfect, delayed, or wrong.
A layer may not always remember correctly.
29. Privacy and Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, retain, and delete personal data.
You must read the Privacy Policy before using the Service.
We may process account data, contact data, payment status, consent records, chat metadata, prompts, replies, uploads, voice data, store activity, support messages, logs, device data, and security data depending on the feature.
We may share data with hosting providers, payment processors, AI providers, analytics providers, email providers, legal advisers, moderators, security providers, fraud-prevention services, and other service providers where necessary.
We may disclose information where required by law, court order, regulator request, safety risk, abuse investigation, payment dispute, or rights complaint.
We aim to keep privacy information clear, accessible, and up to date.
30. Cookies and Tracking
Lay Your Layer may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, security tools, session tools, preference tools, advertising tools, or similar technologies.
Strictly necessary cookies may be used to operate the site.
Non-essential cookies should be used only where allowed by law and where any required consent has been obtained.
You can manage cookies through your browser or any cookie tools we provide.
Some features may not work without certain cookies or local storage.
31. Acceptable Use Policy
You must use Lay Your Layer lawfully, safely, fairly, and respectfully.

32. Safety Enforcement
We may block, refuse, filter, moderate, remove, suspend, limit, throttle, review, or report content or accounts where we believe there is risk.
We may use automated systems, manual review, user reports, third-party tools, or legal processes.
We are not required to monitor everything.
Failure to remove content immediately does not mean we approve it.
We may preserve evidence of abuse, fraud, security events, policy breaches, payment disputes, or legal issues.
33. Intellectual Property Rights
Lay Your Layer owns or licenses the Lay Your Layer name, branding, site design, system design, platform code, workflows, interfaces, documents, templates, prompts, safety layers, bridge logic, admin systems, store systems, and other proprietary materials, except where stated otherwise.

You must not remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or ownership notices.
You must not register confusingly similar names, domains, brands, marks, or accounts.
You must not claim that your product is officially connected with Lay Your Layer unless we confirm it in writing.
34. Feedback and Suggestions
If you send ideas, suggestions, fixes, improvements, names, prompts, workflows, designs, or other feedback, you allow Lay Your Layer to use them without owing you payment, credit, ownership, or obligation, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
This does not remove your ownership of your own separate User Content or Creator products.
35. Third-Party Services
Lay Your Layer may connect with third-party services such as AI providers, local models, website hosts, domain providers, Cloudflare, Wix, payment processors, analytics providers, email tools, storage services, voice tools, app stores, and other tools.
Third-party services are not controlled by Lay Your Layer.
Third-party terms, privacy policies, prices, limits, outages, restrictions, and safety rules may apply.
We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, outages, content, data practices, decisions, pricing, or restrictions.
We may change, remove, replace, or add third-party providers at any time.
If a third-party provider stops supporting a feature, blocks access, changes terms, increases pricing, has an outage, or removes functionality, Lay Your Layer may need to change, suspend, or remove affected features.
36. Beta, Sandbox, Test, and Experimental Features
Beta features are provided for testing and may be incomplete, unstable, unsafe, unavailable, inaccurate, or changed without notice.
Beta features may lose data.
Beta features may be removed at any time.
Beta features should not be used for critical, legal, medical, financial, emergency, production, or safety-critical use.
You use beta features at your own risk.
We may collect feedback, logs, errors, and usage information from beta features to improve them.
37. Availability, Uptime, and Changes
Lay Your Layer may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, outages, third-party failures, AI-provider changes, local-system issues, cloud issues, domain issues, tunnel issues, payment issues, security issues, legal issues, abuse, or force majeure.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may update, change, limit, pause, replace, remove, or discontinue any feature.
We may impose usage limits, rate limits, storage limits, file-size limits, prompt limits, account limits, export limits, or geographic limits.
We may change backend AI systems at any time.
We may release updates automatically.
38. Support
Support may be provided by email, chat, ticket, message, help page, community, AI assistant, or other method.
Support availability is not guaranteed unless your plan expressly includes it.

We may refuse support for abusive, unsafe, illegal, fraudulent, or unreasonable requests.
39. Complaints and Notices

If you believe content on Lay Your Layer infringes your rights, contact us with:
your name and contact details;
the content you complain about;

what rights you own;
why you believe it infringes;

We may remove, disable, investigate, reject, restore, or request more information.
Repeat infringers may be suspended or banned.
False or abusive complaints may lead to action against the complainant.
41. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, freeze, or terminate your account if:
you breach these Terms;
payment fails;
you misuse the Service;

continuing service is no longer commercially, technically, legally, or safely possible.
You may close your account by contacting us or using account tools where available.
Closing your account may not automatically cancel all payment obligations unless required by law or confirmed by the payment system.
Some records may be retained for legal, tax, security, payment, audit, dispute, or backup reasons.
42. Consequences of Termination
After termination, you may lose access to your account, layers, store, downloads, exports, subscriptions, creator dashboard, messages, uploads, settings, and support.
We may remove or archive your public listings.
We may continue to process information where necessary for legal, safety, fraud, payment, tax, dispute, or enforcement reasons.
You remain responsible for amounts owed before termination.
Clauses that should naturally survive termination remain in force, including ownership, licences, payment obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and enforcement rights.
43. Disclaimers
Lay Your Layer is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent allowed by law.
We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, current, accurate, suitable, profitable, compatible, or available forever.
We do not promise that AI outputs will be correct, safe, lawful, non-infringing, or suitable.
We do not promise that layers, training, memory, exports, downloads, store products, voice tools, coding tools, or creator products will work as expected.
We do not promise that third-party services will remain available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
44. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lay Your Layer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or business losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, lost opportunities, lost sales, lost customers, loss of use, business interruption, or wasted expenditure.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to Lay Your Layer for the affected Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them to apply, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory rights that cannot be limited.
45. Indemnity
Where allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lay Your Layer, its owner, operators, contractors, partners, providers, staff, and affiliates from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
your breach of these Terms;
your User Content;
your Creator products;
your misuse of the Service;
your infringement of rights;
your illegal conduct;
your fraud or payment abuse;
your violation of third-party terms;
your use of AI outputs;
your use, sale, export, or publication of layers or content.
Consumers may have protections under law that affect this clause.
46. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, cyberattacks, provider failures, AI-provider changes, payment failures, cloud outages, domain failures, legal changes, regulatory action, strikes, war, terrorism, natural disasters, fire, flood, illness, power failure, hardware failure, or emergency events.
47. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
We may notify users by posting an updated version on the website, sending an email, showing an in-account notice, or using another reasonable method.
The updated Terms apply from the effective date shown.
If a change materially affects paid rights during a current paid period, we will handle it in the way required by law.
If you continue using the Service after the update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel where applicable.
48. Governing Law and Courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless consumer law in your country gives you mandatory rights that cannot be removed.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
49. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the policies and plan terms referenced in them, form the agreement between you and Lay Your Layer for the Services.
If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms continue.
No failure to enforce a clause means we waive it.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our permission.
We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a business transfer, restructuring, merger, sale, assignment, or legal requirement.
