1. PURPOSE OF THESE VOICE TERMS
These Voice Terms explain how Lay Your Layer handles voice access, voice recording, voice uploads, voice profiles, voice packs, AI voice tools, voice creation, voice testing, voice Store products, voice exports, voice downloads, voice creator sales, buyer voice licences, microphone use, consent, identity protection, and voice misuse.
These Voice Terms should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, AI Safety Notice, Consent and Data Use Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Stop Loss Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Payment and Subscription Terms, Store Access and Store Terms, Export Licence Terms, Creator Store Terms, Buyer Store Terms, Upload Policy, User Content Licence, and any checkout or product-specific terms.
2. IMPORTANT SUMMARY
Voice access is a digital service.
Voice access may include recording, uploading, testing, storing, processing, generating, cloning where lawfully allowed, personalising, buying, selling, exporting, or downloading voice-related digital products.
Voice recordings are sensitive and may identify a person.
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate a user’s microphone secretly.
Microphone access must be clear, permission-based, and used only for the explained purpose.
Users must not upload, clone, sell, export, or use another person’s voice without the required rights and consent.
Voice products are non-refundable once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, except where the law requires otherwise.
3. WHAT THE VOICE SYSTEM MAY INCLUDE
The Lay Your Layer Voice system may include:
Voice recording
Voice upload
Voice testing
Voice profile creation
Voice pack creation
Voice actor profiles
Voice Store listings
Voice buyer library
Voice creator tools
Voice export tools
Voice download tools
AI voice generation
Text-to-speech
Speech-to-text
Voice personalisation
Voice samples
Voice consent records
Voice quality checks
Voice safety checks
Voice identity checks
Voice age checks
Voice payment checks
Voice creator payout checks
Voice misuse reports
Not all voice features are available to all users.
4. MICROPHONE ACCESS
Lay Your Layer may request microphone access for voice features.
Microphone access may be used for:
Recording the user’s voice
Uploading a voice sample
Creating a voice profile
Testing voice quality
Checking consent
Checking liveness
Checking spoken payment authority
Checking creator identity
Checking voice ownership
Checking age or guardian permission
Testing speech-to-text
Testing text-to-speech
Supporting voice commands
Supporting AI conversation
Supporting voice export
Supporting voice Store products
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate a user’s microphone secretly.
5. MICROPHONE CONSENT
Before using the microphone, Lay Your Layer should clearly tell the user why microphone access is needed.
Suggested wording:
Lay Your Layer needs microphone access for the selected voice feature.
This may include recording, testing, uploading, creating, personalising, verifying, or using a voice product.
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate my microphone secretly.
I agree to microphone use for the selected voice feature.

6. VOICE RECORDING CONSENT
Before recording a voice, Lay Your Layer should ask the user to agree:
I confirm this is my voice, or I have the required legal permission to upload and use this voice.
I agree for Lay Your Layer to record, process, store, test, and use this voice for the selected voice feature.
I understand that voice data may identify a person and may be treated as sensitive where the law requires.
I understand that if this voice is used for biometric identification or verification, Lay Your Layer may need explicit consent or another lawful basis and condition.
I understand I can contact Lay Your Layer about voice data rights at help@layyourlayer.com.

7. NO HIDDEN VOICE COLLECTION
Lay Your Layer must not secretly record users.
Lay Your Layer must not secretly collect microphone audio.
Lay Your Layer must not secretly create voice profiles.
Lay Your Layer must not secretly create voice clones.
Lay Your Layer must not secretly sell or publish a user’s voice.
Voice recording, upload, creation, sale, export, or download must be based on clear user action, permission, consent, agreement, or another lawful basis where applicable.
8. USER’S OWN VOICE
A user may upload or record their own voice where the feature is available.
The user must confirm:
The voice is theirs
They are allowed to use it
They are old enough or have guardian permission where required
They understand how it may be used
They understand whether Store sale is enabled
They understand whether export is enabled
They understand whether AI voice generation is enabled
They understand the no-refund rule once supplied, except where law requires otherwise
9. OTHER PEOPLE’S VOICES
Users must not upload, record, clone, sell, export, publish, or use another person’s voice unless they have the required rights and consent.
This includes voices belonging to:
Family members
Friends
Children
Partners
Employees
Customers
Celebrities
Influencers
Actors
Singers
Voice actors
Public figures
Private people
Deceased people where rights still apply
Any person who has not given required permission
10. PROHIBITED VOICE USE
Users must not use Lay Your Layer voice tools for:
Fraud
Scams
Impersonation
Identity misuse
Fake evidence
Fake confessions
Fake consent
Fake legal statements
Fake payment authority
Fake customer service calls
Fake bank calls
Harassment
Threats
Blackmail
Abuse
Bullying
Doxing
Non-consensual sexual content
Child exploitation
Grooming
Hate
Extremism
Terrorism
Violence
Political deception
Medical deception
Legal deception
Financial deception
Deepfake abuse
Misleading public statements
Unauthorised commercial use
Voice cloning without permission
11. CHILD VOICES
Lay Your Layer has strict child-safety rules.
Users must not upload, clone, sell, export, publish, or use a child’s voice unless Lay Your Layer clearly allows it and the required parent or legal guardian consent is obtained.
Users must not use child voices for:
Sexual content
Romantic content
Grooming
Manipulation
Exploitation
Bullying
Harassment
Fake evidence
Scams
Adult products
Unsafe roleplay
Identity misuse
Commercial misuse without lawful permission
Lay Your Layer may remove, block, restrict, or report child-safety concerns where appropriate.
12. VOICE CREATOR TERMS
A voice creator is a user who records, uploads, lists, sells, licenses, or provides a voice product through Lay Your Layer.
Voice creators must confirm:
They own the voice or have permission
They have authority to sell or license the voice
The voice does not infringe rights
The voice is not stolen
The voice is not created from unauthorised recordings
The voice is not a non-consensual clone
The voice is not a child voice unless guardian-approved where allowed
The listing is accurate
The price is accurate
The licence terms are accurate
The export terms are accurate
13. VOICE STORE LISTINGS
Voice Store listings must clearly explain:
Voice name
Creator name
Price
What the buyer receives
Whether download is included
Whether export is included
Whether commercial use is included
Whether resale is allowed
Whether AI generation is allowed
Whether voice cloning is allowed
Whether the voice can be modified
Whether attribution is required
Whether usage is limited
Whether support is included
Whether updates are included
Any prohibited use
Misleading voice listings may be removed.
14. VOICE BUYER LICENCE
Buying a voice product gives the buyer only the licence stated in the listing or checkout.
Buying a voice product does not automatically give ownership of the voice.
Buying a voice product does not automatically allow resale.
Buying a voice product does not automatically allow export.
Buying a voice product does not automatically allow impersonation.
Buying a voice product does not automatically allow commercial use unless the listing says so.
Buying a voice product never allows unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or non-consensual use.
15. VOICE EXPORT
Voice export is restricted.
A voice product may only be exported where export is clearly included.
Lay Your Layer may block voice export where:
Payment is incomplete
Payment is disputed
Payment is reversed
Payment is charged back
Verification is incomplete
Voice consent is unclear
Creator rights are unclear
Age is unclear
Guardian consent is missing
The voice is disputed
The voice is unsafe
The voice is unlawful
The voice may be used for impersonation
The account is not in good standing
16. VOICE DOWNLOADS
Voice downloads are digital products.
Voice downloads may be non-refundable once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, except where the law requires otherwise.
Users must not share, leak, resell, republish, clone, or redistribute voice downloads unless the licence clearly allows it.
17. VOICE PRICING AND PLATFORM FEE
Voice creators may set a creator price where Lay Your Layer allows it.
Lay Your Layer may add a platform fee on top of the creator price.
Current Storm draft model:
Creator sets the voice price.
Lay Your Layer adds a 10% platform fee on top.
Creator payout may be handled through approved payout methods.
Payouts may be delayed, held, reversed, or blocked where there is payment risk, fraud risk, Store risk, chargeback risk, rights risk, voice consent risk, or safety risk.
18. VOICE PAYOUT HOLDS
Lay Your Layer may hold or delay voice creator payouts where:
Buyer payment is disputed
Buyer payment is charged back
Buyer payment is reversed
Buyer payment is unauthorised
Voice consent is disputed
Voice ownership is disputed
The voice product is removed
The voice product breaks rules
The creator account is under review
Fraud risk exists
Child-safety risk exists
Identity misuse risk exists
Legal risk exists
Lay Your Layer may recover or offset payouts where a voice sale is later reversed, refunded, disputed, or found to break the rules.
19. VOICE VERIFICATION
Lay Your Layer may require verification before voice recording, voice upload, voice Store listing, voice sale, voice payout, voice download, or voice export.
Verification may include:
Email verification
Phone verification
Age confirmation
Guardian permission
Identity review where lawful
Liveness check
Spoken phrase
Microphone check
Camera check where clearly disclosed and consented
Payment-authority check
Creator-authority check
Voice ownership check
Third-party verification
Lay Your Layer will not intentionally activate camera or microphone secretly.
20. SPOKEN CONSENT PHRASE
Lay Your Layer may ask a voice creator to say a consent phrase.
Example:
“I am [name]. This is my voice. I give Lay Your Layer permission to record, process, store, test, and use my voice for the selected voice feature. I understand whether I am creating a private voice, Store voice, exportable voice, or paid voice product.”
Lay Your Layer may store the consent phrase where reasonably needed for consent evidence, fraud prevention, rights protection, Store protection, creator protection, payment disputes, legal claims, or compliance.
21. VOICE DATA AND BIOMETRIC DATA
Voice recordings may identify a person.
If Lay Your Layer uses voice recognition or biometric verification to uniquely identify or verify someone, Lay Your Layer should obtain the required lawful basis and special-category condition where required.
Where explicit consent is required, Lay Your Layer should ask for clear explicit consent before processing that voice data for biometric identification or verification.
Voice data should be handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
22. VOICE DATA USE
Lay Your Layer may use voice data for the selected voice feature and related service operation.
This may include:
Recording
Processing
Testing
Quality checking
Creating voice profiles
Creating voice packs
Generating speech
Improving the user’s selected voice feature
Providing speech-to-text
Providing text-to-speech
Providing voice commands
Delivering Store voice products
Delivering voice downloads
Delivering voice exports
Confirming consent
Preventing fraud
Investigating misuse
Responding to disputes
Protecting creators and buyers
Complying with legal duties
Voice data must not be sold as raw personal data.
Voice data must not be used for unrelated marketing.
Voice data must not be used for general AI training unless the user has separately and clearly agreed where lawful.
23. VOICE STORAGE
Lay Your Layer may store voice recordings, voice profiles, voice packs, consent records, and voice product records where needed to provide the service.
Storage may depend on:
User plan
Voice feature
Store listing status
Export status
Download status
Consent status
Creator status
Buyer status
Payment status
Legal requirements
Safety requirements
Dispute risk
Data retention policy
Lay Your Layer may delete, restrict, minimise, anonymise, archive, or retain voice data according to the Privacy Policy, Data Retention Policy, Data Deletion Policy, and applicable law.
24. VOICE DELETION REQUESTS
Users may contact Lay Your Layer about voice deletion by emailing:

A deletion request may be limited where Lay Your Layer needs to keep certain records for:
Legal claims
Fraud prevention
Payment disputes
Chargebacks
Consent evidence
Creator payout records
Store records
Safety investigations
Child-safety reports
Rights disputes
Accounting
Tax
Compliance
Security
Lay Your Layer will handle deletion requests according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
25. VOICE QUALITY
Lay Your Layer does not guarantee that a voice product will sound perfect.
Voice quality may depend on:
Recording quality
Background noise
Microphone quality
Device quality
User speech
Accent
Language
Training material
AI model limits
Browser limits
Internet connection
Third-party tools
Technical availability
Voice settings
User expectations
A voice not sounding exactly as expected does not automatically create a refund right.
26. VOICE SAFETY REVIEW
Lay Your Layer may review voice products for safety.
Lay Your Layer may block, remove, restrict, or refuse voice products where there is risk of:
Fraud
Impersonation
Scams
Harassment
Abuse
Child exploitation
Non-consensual content
Hate
Extremism
Terrorism
Violence
Identity misuse
Rights infringement
Deepfake misuse
Misleading public use
Payment misuse
Store abuse
27. VOICE RIGHTS REVIEW
Lay Your Layer may review voice products for rights issues.
Rights concerns may include:
No consent
Fake consent
Stolen recordings
Unauthorised voice clone
Celebrity voice misuse
Employee voice misuse
Customer voice misuse
Child voice misuse
Disputed ownership
Copyright issues
Performer rights issues
Contract restrictions
Confidential recordings
Misleading listings
Lay Your Layer may block or remove voice products where rights are unclear.
28. VOICE AI LIMITS
Voice AI may make mistakes.
Voice AI may produce incorrect words, distorted audio, unwanted accents, unnatural tone, missing emotion, changed pronunciation, or unexpected output.
Users must review voice output before publishing, selling, exporting, or using it publicly.
Users must not present AI voice output as a real person’s statement unless they have the right to do so and it is not misleading.
29. VOICE DISCLOSURE
Where voice output is AI-generated, cloned, synthetic, edited, or not spoken by the real person, users should disclose this where required by law, platform rules, Store rules, advertising rules, or honest communication.
Users must not use synthetic voice to deceive people into believing a real person said something they did not say.
30. VOICE PROFESSIONAL USE
Users must not use Lay Your Layer voice tools as a replacement for qualified professional advice.
Users must not use AI voice to create fake:
Medical advice
Legal advice
Financial advice
Tax advice
Emergency instructions
Government instructions
Bank instructions
Police instructions
Court instructions
Professional certifications
Official notices
31. VOICE ACCOUNT SUSPENSION
Lay Your Layer may suspend or terminate voice access where the user:
Uses voice without consent
Uploads stolen voice material
Creates harmful voice content
Creates fraudulent voice content
Creates impersonation content
Misuses child voices
Breaks Store rules
Breaks Creator rules
Breaks Export rules
Breaks Payment rules
Breaks Acceptable Use rules
Creates safety risk
Creates legal risk
Refuses required verification
Has disputed or reversed payments
Has unpaid balances
32. NO REFUND FOR VOICE MISUSE
Users who misuse voice features may lose access without refund, except where the law requires otherwise.
This may include misuse involving fraud, impersonation, child-safety violations, non-consensual voice use, stolen recordings, chargeback abuse, rights infringement, harassment, scams, or unlawful activity.
33. VOICE CHECKOUT WORDING
Before buying or activating a voice product, Lay Your Layer should show:
LAY YOUR LAYER VOICE ACCESS AGREEMENT
I request immediate access to the selected Lay Your Layer voice feature, voice product, voice recording tool, voice upload tool, voice pack, creator voice, voice download, voice export, or voice digital service.
I understand that microphone access may be required and will not be intentionally activated secretly.
I confirm that I have the right to use any voice I upload, record, sell, export, or publish.
I understand that I must not upload, clone, sell, export, or use another person’s voice without the required consent and rights.
I understand that once the voice feature, voice product, download, export, or digital service is supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, charges are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
I agree to continue.

34. VOICE STORE PURCHASE WORDING
Before buying a Voice Store item, Lay Your Layer should show:
I request immediate access to the selected Voice Store item.
I understand this is a digital voice product.
I understand that the voice item may be supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used immediately.
I understand that buying this voice item gives me only the licence stated in the listing.
I understand that I must not use this voice for fraud, impersonation, scams, harassment, abuse, non-consensual content, child exploitation, or unlawful activity.
I understand that once supplied, accessed, downloaded, exported, personalised, generated, or used, the purchase is non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

35. VOICE CREATOR UPLOAD WORDING
Before uploading a voice for sale, Lay Your Layer should show:
I confirm this is my voice, or I have the required written permission to upload, list, sell, license, and use this voice.
I confirm the voice is not stolen, secretly recorded, unauthorised, misleading, or unlawful.
I confirm I am 18 or over, or I have any required parent or legal guardian permission.
I agree that Lay Your Layer may process, store, review, test, display, preview, sell, deliver, and support this voice product according to the Voice Terms, Store Terms, Creator Terms, Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
I understand that Lay Your Layer may remove or restrict this voice product if consent, rights, payment, safety, Store, legal, or policy issues arise.

Lay Your Layer may update these Voice Terms as the voice system changes.
Updates may happen because of:
New voice tools
New AI voice models
New voice Store features
New creator tools
New export tools
New payment risks
New safety risks
New biometric rules
New laws
Legal review
Technical changes
Business changes
The updated date at the top of these Voice Terms should show when they were last changed.
38. LAWYER REVIEW NOTE
These Voice Terms must be checked by a qualified lawyer before publication.
